I mean, it was cute and stuff, but very boring at the same time. Darcy was a boring character, Marisol was too good a friend and it just felt like the author tried to do that thing where you try not to make your characters Mary Sue's but they still are. It was cute but it was a bit too boring and I didn't enjoy it that much

should i begin with the cliche writing or the racism ? i mean come on, could you have made the best friend more of a Mexican stereotype ? and the main character is so shitty to her, acting like her being validly upset about how white people treat Mexican food.

A sweet romantic story that was a super quick read once I actually got to focus on it.

I gave this book a 3.5/ 5 because at some points the pacing seemed a bit slow and the author may have stuffed unecessary sections in the first quarter of the book.

BUT Ahhh I loved Asher and Darcy's relationship! It was so cute and wholesome! The way the friendship progressed was beautiful. Asher was solo nice and cute! Sniff! It warmed my heart.

Totally had a smile on my face at the end.

Also, Darcy was relatable because she loved books and so do I LOL!

However i didn’t like that Asher had a gf for most of the book .....

It's a sweet story and has some good elements in it, but there's also some werid jumping around and just some lines that didn't work for me. For instance, I couldn't tell you the point of Darcy being in the play. I'm not sure that it really furthered the plot in any way.
