This one was just as delightful as the other books in the series. VERY slow burn, and I did dock a half a star because I felt it dragged a bit at the mid point, but otherwise, I loved this one. I thought the chemistry between Lloyd and Wesley was great, and I was happy it wasn't instalove. When the story starts, these guys have already known each other for a couple of years, and they STILL move slowly, mostly because Lloyd is Wesley's RA, and Wesley is, well, kinda clueless. But they fit together nicely, with Lloyd's seriousness grounding for Wesley's free spirit. Such a cute story.

Again, I won’t be bringing anything new with this review. If you like Sunday, if you don’t mind a slow burn and appreciate witty repartee, then this should satisfy.
Wesley has somewhat, née a lot, been crushing on his fellow RA for months and months, and his friendly gregarious playful nature can’t help but flirt with the steady, stern, no nonsense Lloyd, despite all the star charts saying Wesley and Lloyd could never work. However, there comes a point when friendly crosses over to something so much more and though Wesley may not know it, Lloyd is fully aware of all his charm and is just biding his time until Wesley gets a clue.
This was highly enjoyable, sweet and silly, with great dashes of swoon thrown in as Lloyd remains Wesley’s rock in his crazy hectic life, and in turn Wesley brings some mischief and fun into Lloyd’s.
Still nowhere near close to my love of [b:Leo Loves Aries|32053864|Leo Loves Aries (Signs of Love, #1)|Anyta Sunday|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1473941215s/32053864.jpg|52694520] (apparently Jamie is stuck upon an indestructible pedestal without his knowledge or consent), I liked this more than it’s somber predecessor which was no real slouch to be honest but just wasn't clicking with my expectations. Regardless, I eagerly look forward to what’s in store for the next astrological alighted pair that Sunday has up her sleeve!

I had such a difficult time getting into this one, and I really struggled with the first half. It kind of seemed like we were dropped straight into a relationship I didn't know anything about yet, but was expected to love already. It doesn't work like that, and it happened way too often that I was more than a little confused about what was even happening.
The thing that confused me the most was the ridiculous amount of banter, which sometimes just felt like overkill, and other times just didn't make sense to me. That said, the banter could also be charming at times, and definitely had its cute or humorous moments as well.
Lloyd and Wesley live in the same dorm room; Wesley as the resident flirt and life of the party, and Lloyd as the diligent and patient RA. They are opposites in almost every way, but they have been best friends for almost three years; basically from the moment Wesley started living there.
It is obvious that they are both wildly attracted to each other, but Lloyd refuses to act on it because it's forbidden for RAs to hook up with their residents.
Thus follows a long journey where both men are close in every way, and are basically boyfriends already, but without any of the physical intimacy.
All in all, I thought Lloyd and Wesley were both likable characters, and I especially thought Wesley was very sweet and precious, but something about the writing and/or pacing was just off, which made it a little difficult for me to fully connect to their relationship.
I also didn't love the fact that the only reason they weren't together for all this time was because Lloyd chose his job over his feelings for Wesley. I really wish he would have prioritised Wesley in that... He supported and took care of him in every other way, so it’s not like he didn’t love him enough, but still. It didn’t seem like a good enough reason for them to be apart the entire book.

Yep!! Hoopla Anythink - love ‘em all so far & wish my library had more audiobooks for the remaining books but it won’t stop me from reading the rest of the series. I’m curious to see whose book is next 🤓🤓

This book wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. I've come to expect a sort of quiet, clever charm to these books and that was missing here.
The books follows Wesley and Lloyd. Wesley is a Gemini, law student, and openly gay guy who is juggling his responsibilities (primarily, ensuring that his brother gets into his dream school) while constantly flirting with his RA Lloyd. Lloyd is a rather stern Capricorn grad student who is trying to find a master's supervisor & is also busy putting up with Wesley's flirting.
On paper I was totally on board with the dynamic since it reminded me a bit of the first book, in which the characters lived together and were friends before becoming lovers. But I had an issue with the way this one was written. Firstly, it felt like we were thrown in to the story at a weird time. Maybe this comes with the characters having known each other for so long I'm not sure, but I had a hard time understanding their dynamic in the beginning. Also, for the first time ever in an Anyta Sunday book the main character annoyed me. Wesley did grow on me, but honestly I found him pretty grating for most of the book. 21 is not OLD but he definitely wasn't mature in his handling of situations.
But I think the weirdest part of the whole book for me was the "mom disapproves of my lifestyle," thing. I get that there are still people out there who are dumb enough not to accept their kids being gay... but the way it was handled in this book was odd. His mom refers to it was "doing the gaying" WTF?? And seems to have no reason to not accept her son. We're told she is religious but see no evidence of this. And if she had that big of a religious objection, the resolution between son and mother wouldn't have occurred as randomly as it did. It also seemed especially weird because Anyta does such a good job at making her books NOT about coming out drama/disapproval. In previous books the main characters have come to terms with their sexualities with little fanfare which is SO NICE. Switching that up in this book was unwelcome, honestly.
All of that being said, I was able to overlook a lot of the things I didn't like about this book. Overall it really was a fun read, and I think if you had no experience with Anyta Sunday's books this would be a great read for you. But for me, I was expecting more.

Me encanta cómo escribe esta mujer, es que crea unos personajes que me gustan muchísimo. La única pega que le veo a este libro es que al final el esquema de relación chico responsable- chico desastre ya lo hemos visto anteriormente en esta serie.
