idk why but i found this unbearable & the audiobook made it so much worse. never thought an audiobook would put me in a reading slump, but there’s a first for everything ig

I wish there were more books like this when I was younger. I think this is one I will gift to young ladies heading to college.

Very cute and very realistic!! The resolution feels optimistic but not out of the realm of possibility, which I feel is rare. Reese was too relatable and Benny was sweeter than sugar (no wonder he's fictional.......lol). His entire extended cake metaphor livestream is ✨ GOLD ✨. They were both appropriately mature and communicative for their ages, which is more than can be said for lots of YA characters. They didn't feel too young or too old, and they had realistic and understandable issues and reactions and I didn't cringe and roll my eyes, thinking, "Children!!!" even once!! (Well, maybe once. But in a good way which almost never happens.) Doesn't get much better than that!
