Okay this was over-hyped. I almost DNF’d in the beginning. Literally the first 50% if a hero’s journey. Then 50-70% is a Stockholm prisoner slow burn. 70-80% is just 5 really hot sex scenes in a row. Then the book is over on a weird middle-of-the-action cliffhanger? And I think this secondary MMC is supposed to be maybe good maybe bad, but he just seems all around unappealing? If I had known that there would be a lot of epic world building and low spice, it would have been good. But booktok is fin obsessed?! Obviously I was in once we got to the spice. I stayed up late to finish it. I will be reading the next one-but I’m not happy about it.

OH MY GOSH!!! The ending?!!!! It made me so upset. Death is going to be devastated but the book was amazing starting book two now. Highly recommend!!! And it was pretty spicy but not until over half way
