This was an amazing story of life, love, and finding your true self. I really like Meyer's aliens. There so peaceful and kind and sweet. Well, there's the exception The Seeker. In the beginning you got see how the 'Souls' interacted with each other and how they live and what they did with society and earth. And the story of Wanderer, a Soul, was so intense. She had to deal human feelings and emotion that are very strong and overwhelming to her. It was just very nice to see how she changes throughout the book and she develops into this person that has her own life and own loves and own emotions that is separate from her host, Melanie. She is so self-sacrificing for these humans that see once thought were monsters and brutal creatures. And this book just takes you on her adventure in this life driven by love and all the different problems she faces being who she is. I really enjoyed this book and was so happy at the ending!

Loved it so much. I couldn't put it down. Made me cry but in a good way

After not liking Twilight that much,I have always been in doubt about reading The Host .However, I downloaded the audiobook on a whim, and started listening to it.I struggled through first chapters, but to my surprise I loved the rest of the book. I am so happy that I finally gave this a chance. Because unlike Bella, Wanda is so sweet and adorable.

Love this book. Always have always will! This might be my fourth "re-read." Every time I dive back into this world I never want to leave. Even though I know the world has come crashing down around human civilization I just love the Wanderer's soul so much! I love how much Melanie fights for her family, I just wish the age between them was better. Never thought about it when I was reading this as a 20 year old but now was a 34 year old it is a little strange.

This is definitely in my top 10 favorite books. I love the world, character development & the way Stephanie writes the relationships in this book. I love how she shows the necessity of the law of opposition & the beauty of earth experiences that we can take for granted.

Amazing, that's my one word to sum up the book.
I was pleasantly surprised by the way the book was written and of the story line of the book.

The first time I heard about "The Host" was from a friend a couple of years ago. She said that she didn't like it and that it was a confusing read and that she didn't like how it was about 'aliens'. But a couple of years later, being stubborn, as I usually am, I decided to read it anyways. It was a great choice that I made.

I really enjoy Stephenie Meyer's writing and her ability to make me fall in love with the characters in her stories.

Although I rated this book 5 stars, I will admit I was kind of disappointed. This is because IT ENDED!!!!
