Premise: A young boy is kidnapped by The Grabber, a serial killer abducting children. When locked in the basement, a disconnected black phone rings for him every night with the ghosts of the past victims trying to aid his escape.
Overall the story is eerie, short, but effective. The author captures the absolute horror of being abducted and kept prisoner by a serial killer. The dread that overtakes the child as he realizes he's being held for an undetermined time before meeting his end.
I review this story the same as Hellbound Heart. I read the book prior to seeing the movie and was pleasantly surprised that the movie expanded upon the original text. So to make this a not biased reviewed, my logic is still the same. 3/5. Overall the story is a short story and I felt it lacked an in depth dive into the mystery of the black phone. The story could have instantly been a novella/novel if it went behind more of the victims of the Grabber to paint a darker more sinister view of him.
The movie dives a lot more into the past victims and more into The Grabber himself, but I felt it still didn't cure my itch for more development. Still an amazing story and would highly recommend.

I liked this short story. I have to say the movie made from this short story is better, but this was still pretty good.
Por un momento me quedé pensando en el final del cuento y dije "ª" porque la analogía que mete no entro en mi cerebro de chorlito.
Pero weno con w, para pasar el rato, toca ver la película.

Watched movie first, so was a little let down by how short the story was. Overall was good, just wanted more info on "Grabber/Clown" motivation.
