Not my usual choice of book. My horror-movie loving sister talked me into watching the movie with her and while the excessive language was a complete turnoff, the plot itself was most intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat. Reading this book was out of pure curiosity. I was hoping for a backstory of some kind.

At only 19 pages, this was super watered-down and meh compared to the movie and had slightly less language (only slightly though.) The style was alright but the insane number of times the author used the word fat was just annoying. There are other adjectives out there. As for graphic violence, I didn't think it was bloody.

All in all, my curiosity is satisfied. If I'd read this before seeing the movie, I might have enjoyed this slightly more. But then again, I never would have read this if I hadn't seen the movie first so... what can you do?

I watched the movie that was made from this earlier this year, so I wanted to read the book. The movie fleshes a few things out more than the book does, but both are good stories. I mean, who doesn't like a story about the dragon being slain?

I feel like it was too short for me to actually properly enjoy it (I understand that it is a short story but still) and it is too short for me to properly rate it so idk rlly
