What I liked: The world, the concept, the 'game' itself, and the ending.
What I did not like: The main character, the utter hopelessness, and the predictability of the plot.
For me, the feeling of utter hopelessness really ruined any tension the book might have had were there a glimmer of hope anywhere.
I did laugh at the very end, but although I enjoyed the ending, it really doesn't change anything (for the world within the book). Yeah, a huge tower got destroyed and many rich people lost their lives, but would that be enough to change anything? I would imagine that the rich people would look at this as a terrorist attack from Ben as well as other people like him. Another Network tower would likely be built, perhaps bigger, focusing on the extermination of terrorists like Ben's people.
Because of this I find the story interesting, fun at parts, but also, sadly, a bit pointless as there is no (and it is hinted that there will be many, many years before any) change.
Overall I would (if I could) rate it 2 and a half stars, but I would recommend it as a quick read to any dystopia- or Stephen King fan.

Spoiler
I got excited when Ben started using the daily tapes as a means of communicating with 'his' people about the pollution in the air. I thought of the possibility that (with the help of people able to lipread) people might start a revolution, that some change would occur in the people living in the heavily polluted areas. Instead it becomes a pointless subplot that isn't addressed again.I did laugh at the very end, but although I enjoyed the ending, it really doesn't change anything (for the world within the book).
