Wow, this was such a cute book! I loved all the moments between Yadriel, Julien and Maritza. The discussions of being trans and working with others in your community to be accepted was really great as well. Super glad I picked this book up, I’m excited to read more by Aiden Thomas.

Don’t pay attention to the rating: this is a beautiful, necessary, precious book. I’m so glad it exists, specifically for kids and teenagers. I think I would’ve absolutely loved it as a middle schooler.

But as an adult, this book isn’t for me and I struggled to get into the story. I like other YA stories, so I’m not entirely sure where the disconnect was. But like I said, don’t pay attention to my rating.
