Gina Davis. I think that you ARE a certifiable bad ass. I listened to the audio book of this as I tend to do for memoirs and couldn’t be happier. Gina’s wit and determination is inspiring and I am in awe of what she has accomplished. You are an inspiration for young girls and women everywhere Gina, and I thank you for the work you have done to make sure that women are seen.

I listened to the audiobook read by the author. Although it’s light hearted at times,  it still manages to portray her authenticity, insecurities & loyalties to family & friends.

If you asked me my initial thoughts on Geena Davis, I'd say "League of Their Own" and weirdly, I'm aware she's a MENSA member.

Through reading this book I remember how much I love Beetlejuice, of course, but especially Cutthroat Island and Long Kiss Goodnight, which are two Sunday afternoon must watch movies if I ever come across them.

I really enjoyed this book and as always, certainly recommend the audiobook.

Edit: I also feel a need to confess to you all that I've never seen Thelma & Louise. I should... probably do something about that.

I’ve always loved Geena Davis - read: Beetlejuice & A League of Their Own ♥️♥️♥️ But I don’t think I realized what a badass she is! I like memoirs, I like her, and I loved learning more about her. She’s funny, down to earth, wants to move mountains, and I am here for it!

A very fun read. Geena Davis is an excellent storyteller and has penchant for remembering the smallest of details. The quirky actress writes a good balance of humorous tales and serious issues. Would recommend even if not a Geena Davis fan. One of the better biographies I’ve read this year.
