I didn’t know much about Geena Davis before this but she is a smart, funny, witty lady. I feel like especially if you’ve grown up a people pleaser that we all default to polite settings even when it doesn’t benefit us. It was interesting how Geena also suffered from this but was able to use it not only to her advantage but how she is slowly breaking the mold and learning how to use her voice and stand up for herself instead of relying on her default setting. I was kind of hoping for a more in-depth memoir but this one just glossed the highlights of her life. I listened to the audio book and it’s read by her. Overall I liked it.
