I just don't like the tone of the narration plus the audible narrator isn't even a woman when the author IS a woman.. and that kinda fucks with my brain. I just prefer memoirs narrated by the authors the best

Finally a celeb memoir that doesn’t just list things that happened like a Wiki page. There was a theme, and Geena Davis stayed on that theme & executed a succinct story. I also like how graceful she was about keeping her personal life personal. Honestly it would’ve felt like filler since it wasn’t part of the theme!

"Dying of Politeness" was a great read/listen! As someone who didn't know much about Geena Davis before, I found her to be incredibly likable and funny. The book offers a great glimpse into her life and career, and also touches on important issues such as gender equality and representation in Hollywood. I really enjoyed this one and now feel inspired to watch some of her films that I haven't seen yet. Overall, it's definitely worth checking out.

I had fun with this. I can hear her voice while reading it.
