While I love Frommer's travel guides, this was not one of their better books.
I wasn't expecting to see The Leaning Tower of Pisa mentioned, and not for the reason that anyone would assume (that it's gonna fall down) but that the tourists and pollution are slowly eating away at the structure. If that is the basis for 'they're gonna disappear'? than 50% of Europe should be in this book. I found it to be a pessimistic enviromentalists book on everything that may not be here 10-100 years from now.
If you want a guide with one page desciptions of 500 great places to visit all over the world, check it out. It'll will give you alot of great ideas but most of the 500 aren't gonna disappear in our lifetimes.
