This was a cute little read. I enjoyed Violet a lot. Unfortunately, Christian was just kind of "meh" for me. I think Violet was too good for him and forgave him a bit too easily.
funny lighthearted

Seems like an intriguing series. The first book is only 2.99 for the Kindle version so I've got that lined up to read next!

A novella taking place in Spindle's Cove. A fast read about a mysterious stranger who shows up one night in the cove and collapses at the feet of one of the "spinster" of the cove.

I enjoyed this quick, second chance, holiday novella. Typically, I'm not a fan of second chance because of all of the angst involved, but since this is a novella, there's no time for a lot of angst and flashbacks. Instead, it's just a fun, quick story set in Spindle Cove.

violet deserved better but i get what this was meant to bring

Only Tessa Dare can make a novella this wonderful.

2.5 but I rounded up.

Societal wallflower, Violet, spend her time at the Spindle Cove Christmas Ball as she does every social event, in the corner watching the festivities. But at the end of the evening, the ball is crashed by a dirty and bleeding man in course attire, who stumbles across the ballroom to collapse at her feet, muttering in a foreign language. She's asked to figure out who he is and what he is doing there.

Over the course of the night, she proves that she is more than the shy young woman standing in a corner letting the rest of Society swirl by her.

+++++

This novella was ok. The steam was ok. I think I may have missed some of the exposition and world explanation because this is a novella that takes place within the series. But for what it was, I wasn't disappointed. But not sure if I will ever seek out the series itself.
