i felt a lot of the plot to be dragging but rushed? the book overall was very boring and the plot twist was super predictable. decently fast paced overall but evened out by the more monotonous bits where theo is tracking down people from alicia’s past.

had me in the first couple of hours but THE SILENT PATIENT quickly lost me after that. i guessed the twist quite early in, which sometimes isn’t a bad thing, but i ended up just being frustrated because it never surprised me. several random hooks are thrown in seemingly “just because”, and you can tell after you’ve finished it and thought about it. unfortunately disappointing.
