"...being so aware was exhausting"
Just a short, insightful read that I relate to a bit. Expected to go to college for something big and scary like medicine like my parents who worked hard to put me in this position, coming from a third-world country, when I really just want to be a librarian.

Relatable. Funny. Artist struggles.
Glad I read until the end. I can’t believe she married pat!

This memoir was so wholesome! Liz is a very relatable person. Her struggles with fitting in at school and trying to plan out her future starting from an incredibly young age are things I can really relate to.

I really enjoyed the progression of the story - we got to see how Liz’s awareness of her feelings and understanding of global issues evolved as she grew into herself. Docked a quarter of a star because the art wasn’t my favorite.
Graphic: Mental illness, Racism, and Islamophobia
Moderate: Death, Sexism, and War
Minor: Slavery
