I LOVED THIS BOOK!!
Hannah and Wyatt had such amazing chemistry from the start and their relationship grew so naturally. The character development was great for both characters and I was rooting for them the whole way through.
This book is also such a love letter to romance readers, with books that are referenced and Hannah's passion for the genre.
I cannot recommend enough.

medium-paced

This was cute but it took about 20% before I actually got into it. The whole "hot girl lessons" thing was a bit of a struggle, especially since she's meant to be 29. It just felt too high/ middle school vibes. After I got past that it was fun though.
And the pace picked up a lot towards the middle. I will say the ending was a bit slow too, but I didn't mind so much, aside from
the third act break up, because seriously??? There was already enough happening!

smirking greening giggling gasping squeaking wheezing throwing up

OH MY GODDDD this book had me giggling, kicking my feet, and clutching my device like it was a lifeline. Stephanie Archer, aka the romcom genius, has done it again. I swear she writes like she’s sprinkling serotonin directly into my bloodstream. In Stephanie Archer we trust. In Wyatt we swoon. In Hannah we heal.

The Wrong Mr. Right is the peak “hot surfer meets anxious bookshop girl” energy and I was so here for it. Hannah’s turning 30 and decides it’s time to glow up, fall in love, and save her dying bookstore. Naturally, she recruits Wyatt—local heartthrob and walking abs—to help her break out of her shell. In exchange, she runs his socials so he can chase his pro surfing dreams. A fair trade? Absolutely. A recipe for mutual pining, slow burn tension, and accidental emotional intimacy? YES MA’AM. 😌💗

Let’s talk about Wyatt Rhodes. Dreamy. Protective. A little jealous. A lot obsessed. He starts off all chill surfer vibes but slowly reveals his soft, praise-filled, emotionally intelligent core and I was not okay. The way he sees Hannah, like really sees her, and helps her realize she doesn’t need to change got smirking and smiling like a maniac. And Hannah? She’s shy but snarky, awkward but brave, and watching her confidence bloom page by page was actual magic.

The banter was sharp, and the spice was tender and affirming. The pacing is also slow burn perfection. Yeah sure, the third-act breakup had me ready to flip the nearest table in emotional protest. But the payoff was so worth it. That ending patched me up, hugged my soul, and made all the chaos feel earned. These two were scared of love but chose to be brave together and it was so HEALTHY and SWEET I wanted to scream into a pillow.

This book is a warm summer breeze, a cozy blanket, and a spicy kiss all rolled into one. Criminally underrated. Romcom royalty. And don't forget the side characters?? The town was basically one big romcom Greek chorus hyping them up and I LIVED for it. Wyatt’s family, Hannah’s coworkers, even the random locals—they all added flavor and chaos in the best way.

Aside from that, I absolutely want to acknowledge Lee Samuels and Samantha Brentmoor for narrating this book. Their emotional precision and off-the-charts chemistry lit up every scene. From the very first chapter, their duet performance didn’t just tell the story but embodied it. Ever tension and every spark between the leads felt raw and real. I wasn’t just listening; I was living it with them.

And, there's zero single breadcrumb about what will Holden's up to for the upcoming book. We do get a glimpse of what might go down between Olivia and Finn tho. But let’s be real, my soul is already committed to Holden’s story first. I’m entering In Your Dreams, Holden Rhodes like a woman on a caffeine high and a heartbreak countdown bcs I need tension that simmers, answers that slap, and banter that could start wars. 💥🏃🏻‍♀️
