I enjoyed reading Cassie’s and Jake’s story! It had all the feels and was a steamy read with action, suspense, and a new lease on life. Jake and Cassie are inadvertently forced together when they flee their home town together. Their story follows through their road trip to a new place and the trials they endure after they begin settling in. This story has forced proximity, kidnapping, bullying, and a cinnamon roll MMC. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed reading this book as an ARC. It was really fast paced. The tension between the characters was great, as well as the tension leading to the end. I personally enjoy reading more explicit content, but this was a really cute romance. The way that they loved each other without knowing the other loved them back was really well done. The other male characters were really fun to get to know and they all had a really good dynamic. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and get to know each one of them.

Such a sweet and easy read! I absolutely loved Cassie and Jake from the very first page, their connection was what really dragged me in, I loved the idea that they were running from their pasts together and bonded/fell in love along the way after both having crushes on each other since they were kids. Will deffo be reading the rest of this series.

I received this for ARC reviewing. I really enjoyed the two main characters and the slow build of their connection. Such a sweet story with characters who have a gritty past and background. So many stories are insta-love, I felt Cassie and Jake shared history but still took their time before jumping into things. You get to see their character development as they grow into themselves and who had always wanted to become. Jake had so many good friends due to his time in the military and their friendship and connection was strong. It was great when Cassie meets Hope, and gets to experience actual friendship, unlike what she had in The Park. I want to go move to their small town cause it sounds so cute! Loved the third act action. Excited to read the next one. I hope it’s about Ryan and Hope, they give me grumpy/sunshine vibes.
