I enjoyed the several arguments and points of view from various existentialists regarding the topics covered. The author presented each philosopher's point as well as insight into what may have brought about such ideas. A little bit of a heavy read but highly enjoyable, and thought-provoking.

Extremely interesting read. Had a lot of great things (and some not so great things). I recommend to anyone and everyone!

Not helpful for anyone who has never been addicted to something. I have not, therefore I cannot comprehend where this guy is coming from.

It’s a very easy book to read.

This book spoke to my soul. It was sincere, honest, and authentic. It touched on religion, Christianity in particular, but I love that author acknowledged secular reader by just simply recognising how certain idea might be perceived by the non-religious, or providing alternative point of view that is more palatable to us.

I was quite surprised to having enjoyed this book so much considering I ditched reading Epictetus because of how in-your-face the religion aspect was, giving me uncomfortable flashbacks for when I was part of the previously mentioned belief system.

I came out still uncertain to the answer to how to live authentically in an inauthentic age. Perhaps the un authoritative tone of the book was one of the reason that I enjoyed it so much. I feel like the author did a great job of collating and contrasting different ideas from different existentialism figures. For layman such as myself, it is digestible and useful to have this comparison.

Loved it. Amazing pieces of wisdom. Gives one a new look at their own life, I would suggest it to anyone as an introduction to philosophy.
