(3.5) my first audiobook, and it was a great experience. the narration conveyed a lot of emotion, and I cried multiple times. there were some parts that had me zoning out or bored, and I couldn't enjoy quite as much, and many humorous bits didn't quite click with me, but overall this had me feeling very emotional, achy; most importantly, very connected to the author by the end. the writing really impressed me many times, it was beautiful, poetic, raw and honest. great storytelling. pigeons, scotland & grief, and the letter to her mother's inner child especially stuck with me.
