I didn't finish this book, it was just too annoying for me. It's a bout a girl who goes to study and enjoys the student life with her dorm mates.

This book was a mixture of engrossing portraits of characters bundled with some serious flaws that undermined the good aspects. Some spoilers to follow.
This is one of those books where pretty much every character is a terrible person—and that was what I really enjoyed about it. I watched the story unfold with suck fascination, unable to understand why any of these people wanted anything to do with one another, particularly Kate. She is such an awful human I couldn’t understand why everyone fell all over themselves for her, and I didn’t buy the book’s explanation that she was just so charismatic no one could resist her.
Which feeds into the bad aspects of the book. Owen is such a bad character, and his actions make no sense. How could spending a couple of hours with some rando be enough to convince you to jeopardize your own career? He felt like such a caricature.
Lastly, the epilogue to this book was just straight-up bad, IMO. It felt like an afterthought tacked on in order to tie up all the loose ends.

Keeps you guessing
Kept me on my toes. Right when I thought I knew where it was going, I was wrong. Right when I thought thats where it ends, I was wrong. Very good read. Highly recommend! First book O have read by this author....going to read another now!!!

Would you believe that it’s the husband?
On the last page of this book, the reveal is exactly as the title tells you. Maybe that’s a bit obvious and I should have assumed that (and don’t get me wrong, the whole book leads you to that conclusion), but she created other lines that would have lead to a much better, more satisfying ending. If only she had stuck with one of those instead.

Eh, I was expecting more. I heard the twist was really good but it was super predictable. None of the characters are particularly likable and the plot is a little choppy. But it was entertaining enough.

I enjoyed this read! It was quick and easy and kept my attention. The last 100 pages or so, as the were sorting through the investigation into Kate’s death, felt a little long. Rated this 3 stars just because it wasn’t anything super mind blowing or shocking in terms of a “thriller/mystery” but I did still like the book!
