In this second installment of Mavis’ adventures we get the same humor and love! The characters are both relatable and yet hit every single typecast they need to be and it just fits the vibe so well. In the era of MLMs and “gentle parenting” this was a humorous jab at the way people are we come across today. Also #JusticeForJack lol

Elise Bryant’s books are so much fun. Her mysteries read like elevated cozies, set in a Southern California beach town with a cast of characters filled with PTA moms, precocious kids, and light romance to satisfy those “I like my mysteries light and easy” cravings. If you love books with moms behaving badly at school settings like I do, Mavis Miller mysteries are for you!
