I think the perspective of animals is always really fun to see in books. And the life of a horse is something I know very little about, so this book was rather insightful to me. That being said, I am not the biggest fan of the story line, though I'm glad at the ending! Sad stories, just for the sake of hardship is not really my cup of tea.
