It’s books like this that make me angry and believe that we never actually learn from history. I wish that more of the book would have been focused on Madge, but I understand that she is just a small piece of the history of the klan.

Being a being American History buff, this was a great read to learn more about the 20th century Klan and how it changed from the simple Civil War hate group to a controlling power of that time.

A dark story about the KKK’s explosive growth in the 1920s focused on Indiana, its leader, and a woman who, along with her parents, fought back after a horrendous attack.
