Book 📖: 3/5 stars
Audiobook 🎙️: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Short story about a real life couple: Maria Skłodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie. They were two physicists who made major contributions to radioactivity research! I felt like the book was well written (and well read) but I wanted more. I wanted to see their accomplishments than just them meeting. I also could not get over the hands comment 😅. Was so out of pocket and made me laugh when it probably shouldn't have. Cute story just wish it was longer!

It was an average book to pass the time. I learned more of the personal life of Marie Curie as a child that was interesting. Yet, I personally wanted to know more of Curie's academic and work life than how she fell in love with her husband. On a personal note it would have been fascinating to see how both got together for their scientific research on radium (and other physics topics) on top how they got together romantically.

An interesting insight into the early life of Marie Sklodowska, aka Marie Curie, as she is studying science at the Sorbonne. It was unique because I know only trivial details of her life. The majority of the information I have obtained during lectures in school. This gave me a small personal side to the scientist with a dash of love. Not the most riveting listen but informative.

Great insight into Madam Curry and how she dealt in a man's world. I really appreciated how well the author put her in a positive light, showing how strong willed she could be.

It's short but sets up a lot of great character and themes in the short length. I really loved how much it brings to life the struggles of the main character.

I was kind of disappointed by this audiobook. I thought it would be the story of a great scientist making discoveries and breaking glass ceilings but it ended up just telling the story of how she met her husband. And it almost inferred at the end that she was only able to have her amazing career after she gave in and got married.

I really enjoyed this peek into the mind of Madame Curie... I just wish it had been longer. *le sigh*
