This book desperately needed some editing. i feel like nothing really happened until the last quarter of the book. The "runs" took up a good chunk of the book but were super repetitive and not that interesting. i ended up having to listen to the audiobook at 1.75x speed to get through it. I was just so tired of El overexplaining the worldbuilding and the plot basically going nowhere until graduation day. We barely got to see Orion which I wasn't expecting especially given the end of book 1??

I did like seeing the friendships develop and there were a couple good moments. That said, I have no interest in continuing this series despite the cliffhanger.

Wow, this book kept me on the edge of my seat -- very worried about some characters I've come to love and really excited for the next one. An excellent series about how if we could all just decide to help one another, without being paid or getting anything in return, and commit to the bit, we could save the world.
