This left me very disappointed and regret buying these three volumes for basically no story.

i think this suffered from being such a short series -- there were way too many characters to keep track of or get attached to in the three volumes we were dealt. it's a shame because i like the family vibe takaya shows here so i definitely think i could grow very fond of the sohmas gen 2 if i got the chance

I like the issues this book is tackling, but I feel like I’m still struggling to connect with the characters.

Fruits Basket Another follows Sawa Mitoma who accidentally crosses paths with the Sohma clan and becomes entangled in their lives in a way she didn't expect.
It has been a few years since I read volume two of this manga but I still remember what happened. And I still loved this manga so much. This volume had me tearing up because I loved it so much and was so sad to see it coming to an end.
First off, I love seeing the younger Sohma clan now. They are so different than their parents were and I loved seeing them together. You can definitely tell who is who's kid because they are so much like their parents. I really loved how they take Sawa in as their friend and cares about her. They clearly really cared for each other and for Sawa. I loved learning more about Sawa's backstory even though it is incredibly sad. I loved seeing how it connected to the Sohma's and how, even though it caused problems for them, they never blamed Sawa.
As always, I adored the art in this magna. I love how the characters are drawn and the backgrounds are done so well. I always feel like I am transported into the manga when I am reading this. I was so sad to see this end but I loved that it was pretty open to doing some one shots like what volume four is.
Overall, I adored this manga and I'm so sad that it's over. I am excited to read the one shots in volume four next. If you liked the original Fruits Basket I would recommend picking this up. It's cute and it is shorter than the original series but just as impactful.
