Likable Characters

This book is definitely in the realm of taboo, and you need to be aware and okay with that. A psychologist is hired to help the women's football club with some of the stress and pressure of earning a spot in the top league. The captain of that football club falls hard and fast for the good doctor and they start an illicit affair.

Both Reece and Skyler were incredibly likable and the store moved at a good pace. She's coming off a really bad relationship, and he's crushed on her since high school. The inappropriateness of their affair is very clearly stated, particularly the guilt he suffers from trashing his own ethics to go after what he wants.

The spice was great! I give that 4 stars!

What lacked for me was a real spark between them. I never got the sense that they truly got to know one another. There wasn't any of the swoony feelings I want in a romance. Too much telling not enough showing, and while I appreciate their personal struggles, the internal thoughts got very repetitive.

This is my second book by Sasha Lace and she keeps getting better and better!

I loved learning about another Forster sibling. Reece pleasantly surprised me as the MMC. As a treating psychologist he craved control and was such a rule follower...until Skylar. Skylar, the always strong FMM with lilac hair, endless tattoos and piercings, needed guidance in handling the stress of being captain. I don't think either character imagined how strong of a spark their meetings would produce. It was enjoyable and devastating how they navigated their lives separate and a part. I loved the ending although I could have went without the time gap. Loved this book and cannot wait for book 3!

Sasha Lace does it again! Another fucking banger of a book! I swear she can’t write a book that’s not immediately a 5 star read for me. She pulled me in from sentence one, page one, chapter one!

Skylar seems to have it all but there’s more to it than you can see. She’s a badass motherfucker and she’s an amazing woman but she hasn’t been lead to believe that about herself. Don’t worry Dr. Reece is going to give her alllll the praise and encouragement she needs!

Reece is so busy being the one everyone depends on, he neglects himself. Every good clinician knows you can’t pour form an empty cup but Reece proves to be just as stubborn as you would imagine a clinician to be. He’s approaching burnout and something has got to fucking give, but testing his ethics and morals is NOT what he was expecting!

Okay so as a Social Worker, I knew this might be a tough read for me because YOU DO NOT EVER HAVE ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS!!! Our Code of Ethics says once a client always a client, hard professional boundaries forever. No friendships, and definitely don’t fuck them! Making Reece a Psychologisn’t was a strategic move and I think it was genius. Their code of ethics is different. Reece literally warred with himself, he agonized over this! I NEVER thought I would root for someone to have a relationship with a client but Sasha Lace proved me fucking wrong! Reader me is HERE FOR IT!!!

The angst, the will they won’t they, the turmoil Reece feels, the sex, OH MY GOODNESS THE FUCKING SEX THESE TWO HAVE IS UNREAL!!! I loved it all!

Fucking phenomenal 5 ⭐️ read! Well done Sasha Lace, well done!

Great follow-up book to the first. This one we meet the brother. His internal struggles are real. I love that there isn't a quick easy fix.
This couple has some great feels and and a great journey to bring in the head at the end!

Sasha Lace has done it again!!!

I honestly love her style of writing. I think alot of people will find this as a 4.5 or 5 star book, I rate it as a 4.5.

I loved Skylar and Reeces love story!! I didnt want to put the book down, I think total reading time took about 4 hours. The spice in this book was *french kiss* just the right amount for it. I loved seeing the growth between BOTH the FMC and MMC!

This story follows Skylar and Reece. She is captain of Calverdale Ladies and he is their clinical/sports psychologist and Miri’s (from Book 1) brother.

There are a few trigger warnings for this one so please make sure you read them. It is a slow burn forbidden romance where the geek gets the girl.

Reece has a very big ethical dilemma. He’s in love with one of his patients. The discriptive was the author explains his thinking about his dilemma is really good and understandable.

Skylar has had the same boyfriend since school but she realises how selfish and a*sholish he is. When the psychologist starts as the club, she thinks she can keep holding it together for the team but he is so easy to talk to and very hot.

Their chemistry is amazing and they both learn that they need to deal with their issues and heal - first together and the on their own.

Great, easy read with little angst and a happy ever after. Sasha describes the book as more sweet with heat than pure smut.

More please! This was my second read by Sasha Lace and I couldn’t get enough of it. I absolute loved Skylar and Reece together. Personally I hoped Sean would fall into a hole. Is that bad?🫣 When Skylar finally decided to take two years in LA to help find herself I knew it would be good for the couple so they can find themselves before getting back together. It bettered them both in lathe long run. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for book three!
