Solid story, albeit a little predictable. Characters’ romance lacked spark.

There’s nothing specific that made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. I think maybe I’m just used to longer Christina Lauren books where there’s more time for me to love the characters, and this was a quick read I could’ve finished in a few hours. I do love a good dual POV, and I thought it was interesting that every couple of chapters or so, there was a portion from the police interview.

The beginning of this book starts off with a transcript from a police investigation, so from the beginning, it had me hooked to know what exactly goes down!
I like that the FMC has struggles with standing up for her self and being assertive, (that’s very relatable for me and likely a lot of other women also).
The romance is… nice. But I think there’s a lot missing. Like they’re going a book tour and I feel like the book could’ve been longer and had more moments and details between the two main characters to build build up the romance more, I feel like I was kinda sudden when they started to like each other? I just think there could’ve been more!
Otherwise, it was a nice book with a happy ending 😊

I had been hearing very mixed things about this book, but honestly I loved this! It was such a fun and easy read. While I don’t think it’s the most memorable of Christina Lauren’s book, I really enjoyed this. The story overall just made me happy. I do wish though that we would have had a bit more of what happens after to each of our main characters. I want to know how their relationships between them all ended and changed.

It was fun and cute, but I liked the Unhoneymooners better? I don't really read a lot of romance and I don't usually read it with a review in mind, so I can't exactly pinpoint what made me not really enjoy this one as much. Don't get me wrong, it's still really good. There were moments when I literally giggle out loud, it was so cute. I appreciated the disability rep and having a male interest willing to pull the weight to help? Hell yeah. I just don't think I really connected with the couple. It also felt as if we were following the famous couple as much as the ones the book is actually about, which would be fine if the famous couple didn't feel a bit bland to me. I think that's where the problem was for me the most because the rest of the book genuinely did have a good deal going for it - the characters just felt a little bland to me. Either way, I definitely want to read more from this pair.
