I didn't care for Bowen at all, and I wasn't too fond of Tamsyn either. The witchy vibes just weren't there for me. I didn't like the time travel aspect of the plot, and the instalove between Bowen and Tamsyn fell flat. This was a disappointing conclusion to the series.

A fun audiobook to work out to. Good narrator. This is the third book in the series. I didn’t read the others but I could still follow the (fairly predictable) story just fine.
3.5 rounded up. I adored the first two books in The Ex Hex series. Both are fall staples for me. I did enjoy The Wedding Witch but of the three it’s my least favorite.
I was hoping this would be another feel good book for fall but this is more of a holiday read. Most the book takes place around Yule. We still have the same wit from the previous books but the signature fall/Halloween feel is not there.
This is one of the few books where I can handle the time travel. It was still a bit weird to me but it worked well enough that I could go with the going back to current time.
As always, thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy to read and review!

I had just finished a book that I’d really enjoyed and was mourning having completed it. If there were anyone who could save me from a book hangover, it would be Mary Jane Wells. And a Welsh protagonist. A loner of a mountain man hero. Who grunts. And speaks terms of endearment. In Welsh. And there you have it, folx. MJW performing a Welsh leading man is my kryptonite. The. End.
Ok, yes. The book was very good, too, serving up more than just swoon-worthy narration. The entire cast of characters was highly entertaining, and the story was full of adventure and mystery. Between the magic and the time travel, if I were to think very hard if the details were airtight, I’m not sure they would be. But the fun and romance of it all had been looking past those pesky bits and just really enjoying the heck out of the entire experience.
