i don’t think a book of poetry has affected me like this one has. the author poured so much of their heart and soul into the poems, and it really paid off. i especially loved “living proof”, my favorite poem by far.

The poems are beautifully written and emotional for sure. For those with a very sensitive heart I would warn against reading this book. The themes are very heavy and no punches are pulled with the descriptions of the darkest parts of humanity.

It’s worth a read but be mindful it can be very upsetting to read. I would have loved a TW page to know what I was getting into.

A really lovely collection of poems. Gibson doesn't hold back and brings all the feels.

I liked some of these poems (the first one was great!) but the love ones were a bit too lovey-dovey for me, and I would have liked some more political ones.

Andrea Gibson was a wonderful poet. I can never recommend their collections enough and this one is no exception. I got emotional. I laughed. I felt validated. I felt seen.
