“Tincture” is the poem that moved me most. Will be revisiting many more times to come.

actually a 4.5, but i rounded up. i laughed & cried while i read this book, wrote quotes & full poems down in my notes app to keep with me for whenever i may need them. i so wish i knew of andrea & their work before they passed, wish that their death isn’t what brought me to them, but i’m thankful that i found them & their words 🪽❤️🩹🦋
This was my first contact with Andrea Gibson and was a total win. i would say total joy, but Gibson can bring out the tears. i don't read much poetry because i have a sense that the old school (lordes, Angelou..) did it best but no, like hiphop, open the door and the fondation can be built in to castles.
i would recommend this book to anyone strong enough to look it un the eye.

Nobody writes like Andrea. Nobody. I devoured these poems so quickly but I’m now starting all over again. I read “Boomerang Valentine” for my coworkers today and the world felt so full of love and I am so happy.
