From the absolute beginning, with a SMOKING HOT prologue that made my Kindle almost catch fire, it totally consumes you. The connection between Elias & Zeke is intense & palpable, even despite the forbidden nature as stepdad/stepson with a large age-gap. And while it starts purely as a one-off hook-up, once they’re forced to spend more time together they quickly realise that their connection is something special.

Each of the books in this series have featured forbidden relationships, and each of them have been written in such a way that we can see how perfect they are for each other, but we can’t see how it could possibly work out for them. However, like all of the books in the series, a believable plot carries Zeke & Elias through all the doubt, desire, pining, secret rendezvous and intense passion, to a well-deserved HEA.

I have to highlight the excellent use of flashback chapters, that are used to explain previous interactions between Elias and Zeke that have been briefly mentioned early in the book. They really effectively elaborate on how connected Zeke & Elias are, showing us (rather than just telling us) how much more intense their connection is rather than just “an affair”. Flashbacks can often break the flow of the plot, but these are used seamlessly to add to understanding of the MCs.

Loved this series, sad to see it end, but can’t wait to see what’s yo come from this author as her books just keep getting better & better.

Content warnings for intense s3xual interations, mild Daddy/boy kink, mild impact play, voyeurism, grief & death of a family member, and mild drug use.
