Le premier volume était bien même si il n’était pas super original et plutôt prévisible. Ce deuxième volume était plutôt ennuyeux.

Never good to start with the second book in the series. Seems like an interesting premise -- what if the space race began in 1869 instead of 1969.
Large, picture book seeming format with LOTS going on on every page and very small print. Seems like the readers would be older, but might not pick this up because of the format.

An intriguing continuation of the first story which follows the characters from Earth to the Moon. The illustration remains beautiful and their experience on the moon is pretty interesting. I'm not sure how to feel about King Ludwig, as I'm sympathetic to his desire for escape, but don't like how selfish he is about putting everyone else in danger. This part of "castle in the Stars" wraps up the story, but there is obviously room left to follow to other planets, which I am very curious to see!
Our travelers have landed on the far side of the moon. The king is having a grand time exploring. Serafin is bummed that they haven’t found his mother. The ship is missing a very important part, and no one’s leaving until they can be found or replaced. Tension.
Very slow. And another cliffhanger. Wanted something to come from this. Good drawings though.

The art style definitely did the heavy lifting in establishing the ethereal atmosphere of the moon. I don't know what's missing from this book but there's something. Cause it has a good plot going for it but there's not really much to keep me invested. Not even the eventual conflict between the professor and the king. And with all the scientific jargon, I can't really pinpoint what age group it was targeted at. I guess it all just seems formulaic in a way.
A stunning second entry in this series. Gorgeous artwork and an interesting story. More, please! Also, the translation is so smooth you wouldn't know it was translated.

Read this with my daughters. They seemed to like the first one, so we got the second book. By the end of it we were all so 'meh' about it that we won't be continuing. It's an interesting concept, but I feel like it took too long to get any where and didn't focus on the right parts of the story.
Cet avis est le même pour chacun des 3 tomes puisque je les ai lus un à la suite de l’autre et que je trouve difficile de les évaluer individuellement. Je n’ai pas l’habitude de lire du
