A super unique premise for a romance! I've been reading a lot of romances with MCs who already knew  each other's (enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, etc), and this was a nice break to that with a love story between strangers.

I loved the
full send commitment from the MMC. Seb goes full send on his love for Fixie, and it's nice to have him match Fixie's ideas of fate.

I really love the dynamics of siblings depicted in the book. It does address the ways in which families are hard, and while there are some really hard familial moments all of those stories ultimately wrap up with a happy ending.

I expected this to be mainly romance, but the romance wasn't as present as the family dynamics in the story. I wished there was more about the romance, and that we saw more about Fixie and Seb, cuz the blurb makes it seem like that's the case.
The ending was wholesome but kinda rushed.

Regardless, the book was so so fun to read and very enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

The main character of this book was a complete pushover and I just found myself getting angry over her decisions throughout almost the entirety of the book. It was almost difficult to finish.

Sophie Kinsella books on audio are like crack to me and I can never get enough. Are all her characters entirely one-dimensional with a single flaw that defines their entire personality? Yes. Are all of her protagonists doormats with at least one dead parent? Again, yes. Are her love interests always broody business men with not much personality to speak of but fall for our heroine’s bubbly sunshine? Of course! Will it ever get old to me??? Probably not!
