A light read with some cute moments, but I find the main character is often insufferable. I spent much of the book thinking, "she can't be serious".

DNF at 20%.
I just can’t take stories about weak women who are made strong because some guy believes in them.

Fixie is a dish rag of a woman surrounded by despicable people. Their treatment of Fixie so disgusted me that I stopped.

I normally love Kinsella’s books but I couldn’t even finish Surprise me and this was difficult too get into to, Fixie was such a doormat! And her whole family was terrible and the book was so predictable, i was how much longer until is over.
The end was cute though.

I read this book fully expecting a generic romance and was beautifully surprised, this was fantastic in so many ways other than what I expected. Yes, a stunning romance but with so much more depth and side plots that I just loved.

Looking at the reviews, no one gets this book like I do. You don’t get it!!! Sophie Kinsella you will always write the most wonderfully complex and interesting female characters 😩❤️❤️

I thought this was well written. There was no "cringe", where the female does something stupid and has to atone. (ie. spent a lot of money, got caught in a compromising situation, accidently booked two wedding facilities..)
