Getting into this book took a little while for me because I so profoundly disliked the main character in the beginning, but I definitely understood that that was the point. She didn’t even move herself (well enough) in the beginning of the book to see her own value. As the book progressed, I really appreciated the fact that she didn’t go from 0 to a perfect life instantly. She comes across social media fame which actually ends up being terrible for her, not a boon, but integral to her growth as a person.

I also really enjoyed that the focus wasn’t on romantic love but rather motherly love and the main character learning and growing in her own relationship with her mother and the deep-seated mommy issues she has.

In all, I ended up really enjoying Nobody’s Perfect and by the end was rooting for everyone in the novel. 5 stars, for me is a book that provokes an emotional reaction and is something I’l think about for a long time and while I did get a little emotional toward the end, I don’t think the book will stay with me so 4.5 stars it is!
