So I picked this up purely because I feel EMPTY now that Killing Eve is over. Don’t bother reading it, just watch the show.
The writing was actually not great, to the point where I was wondering if an editor had even read it. I did enjoy reading the parts that were directly taken into the tv show though. But it was kind of a non story?? It barely felt like a book. I felt like there should have been 200 more pages. I guess what’s what the next books are for??
Also there was only one scene where Eve and Villanelle were together and Eve wasn’t even conscious so … what’s that all about?!
One thing is that I could tell it was written by a man. Like if I didn’t know the author was a man then it was easy to guess. There were just so many things that were said and described about women in this book that a woman would never write. And there were so many repetitions of almost the same sentences. It annoyed me.
But I just love the characters. I can’t help it. The show has trapped me and now I can’t stop thinking about them and am reading shit like this to make it last longer.
Would I read this book again? Absolutely not. Am I going to read the rest of the series? Probably. But only because I miss Villanelle and Eve and not because I like the writing of these books.

I mean it's literally just Killing Eve, written by a man 🤷
It's kinda awful but in an entertaining way? There's so much sex it's laughable. Everyone wants to fuck Villanelle and then she murders them.
