unhinged lesbians written by men < unhinged lesbians written by women

It's like the show if you took out the compelling characters, interaction between the leads, and you were reminded it was written by a man everytime he described a woman

Shallow, but entertaining.

AWFUL. If you love the show, please don't read this book.

Women written by women >>>> women written by men

The sky was a crisp, hot blue when I finished this book; I was drinking water out of a silver Yeti tumbler and wearing an Old Navy t-shirt with Costco shorts.

Seriously, so many brand names and descriptions of the sky. Every other page. It got exhausting. The book itself isn't bad -- standard cat-and-mouse thriller fare with a few welcome twists -- but this is the rare case where the TV adaptation far exceeds its source material.

"Oxana had never felt the slightest need to be liked, but it gave her profound satisfaction to be desired."

That and the story of her fucking her university psychotherapist and leaving her a husk of herself... man Villanelle is terrible but I love her.

Fun for a while but the ending really fell flat, more of a random end to a chapter than a cliffhanger that made me want to read the next book
