Upgraded from 2.25 to 2.75 a few months later, after enjoying the cameos of Ethan and Garrett in book seven, Devil in Disguise.
Meh. I lost interest in this one after the first act. I wasn’t as invested in their romance after the clerkenwell night market. And I got bored. The intrigue and conspiracy fizzled out quickly. It lacked the humour of books 2-3. And the brief moments of romantic declarations were many enough to rally me.
