I'm going to start off by saying JOEY AND AOIFE HAVE MY HEART SOUL AND BODY. EVERYTHING. God, these two made me giggle, chuckle, kick my feet and all the above. They were just pure perfection. Their dynamic, personalities and interactions with each other, the BANTER (heavy on this) and the ANGST. Everything was amazing. I started off Binding 13 not really caring about Joey and Aoife but by the end of Keeping 13 I was hopping with excitement to read their book and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. It genuinely makes me sad to think about how these two aren't real bc wdym??
Whenever I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about this book. I fell asleep thinking about Joey and Aoife and I woke up thinking about Joey and Aoife. If you caught me zoning out and smiling to myself, guess what I'm thinking about?? That's right, JOEY AND AOIFEEEE!!!!
One thing I can say is that I did not really care for the side characters besides Podge and Casey and even then it was only a little. But I'm assuming that's because in the next book we'll get our usual characters back from Binding and Keeping 13 to be the sidecharacters (I've missed Gibsie and Claire). Although it is safe to say that Joey is now my #1 Tommen boy and Aoife being my #1 Tommen girl. I know the whole series isn't even out yet but I DO NOT CARE THESE TWO HAVE MY EVERYTHING.

Also, my poor Joey. Its so interesting to see everything from his point of view like he deserves the world. Hes literally everyone's protector but nobody's protecting him (Except Aoife). I swear whenever I think about these two I just can't stop myself from smiling and I haven't felt like this about a book couple in so long.
Iris by Goo Goo Dolls is THEIR SONG. I have never agreed with a statement more.

Spoiler The way Aoife was always there for Joey when he was struggling with his addiction and abuse under his father was so fucking nice to see. She is the definition of loving someone unconditionally and I was heartbroken to see HER heartbroken because of Joey's addiction. She PERSERVERED and LOVED HIM even though it was killing her. And their dynamic when they were 'friends' was so cute. LIKE THE ONE WORD GAME WAS SO ADORABLE. And the way Joey keeps calling her 'Molloy' made me squeal. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE "nice legs" LIKE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH JOEY MARRY ME. I'm just so in love with these two. One thing though the ending was a bit underwhelming like I was expecting to be balling my eyes out but I was just caught off guard when the book ended, like it just ended on a conversation?? But I'm excited to read the next book.

Spoiler Don't even get me started on Marie. Im sorry but when she said Joey reminded her of Thedore and then tried to scare Aoife away I was SEETHING. Like I get you're trynna look out for Aoife but why would you tell him to HIS face that he reminds you of Thedore?? I don't hate her like shes also a victim but that was not necessary girl.

Easily a 5 star book.

Favourite quotes
“I love you,” I reiterated, eyes locked on hers, as I brushed away a tear
from her cheek. “I love you more than I have ever loved another person in
my life, and that’s not an exaggeration. That’s the god honest truth.”

"I had a distinct feeling that I would be doing a lot of following after this girl. Still, my feet moved after her."

“Oh, go choke on a clit.”
“Fuck you, Molloy.”
“Fuck you back.”

“Hm,” Joey grumbled, nudging my shoulder back. “If it was anyone else, Molloy. If it was anyone else.”
“But it’s me.”
“It’s you,” he confirmed. “Pain in my hole."

“Who came out on top?”
“You, Molloy.” Shaking his head, he stared up at my face and released
an amused sigh. “Always you.”

"If boys were fairground rides, Joey Lynch would be the rollercoaster.” Her eyes danced with mischief as she winked and said, “You can’t blame a girl for wanting to take a ride on that bad boy.”

"You don't mean shit to me," I desperately tried to convince the both of us, as my chest heaved. "I don’t care about you, Molloy. I never have and I never will."
"You're a terrible liar," was all she replied before crushing her lips to mine.

“Don’t hate me, Molloy,” Joey mumbled, falling into the passenger seat the minute I let him go to open the car door. “You’re all I have to wake up for in the morning."

"When I say I don’t love you," he continued, nuzzling his face in my neck. “It’s the furthest thing from the truth.”

“It’s okay,” I croaked out, shifting closer until I was snuggled up to his chest. “We can handle the words the same way we handle sex.” Pressing a kiss to his chest, I whispered, “Except in this instance you set the pace, and I’ll fall in line.”

“You’re so strange.” He threw his head back and laughed. “I love it.”
“You mean you love me,” I teased, grinning up at him.
“Yeah, Molloy.” His eyes burned with sincerity when he said, “That’s
exactly what I mean.”

"Nice legs."
