⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5/5)

Okay listen… I get why Saving 6 exists. I really do. Joey’s story needed to be told, and I appreciate Chloe Walsh for diving deep into his pain, trauma, addiction, and everything that shaped him. The emotional depth was there. The backstory? Necessary. The intent? Solid.

BUT.

This book did not need to be this long. Like girl, be so serious—this could’ve been a novella and still hit just as hard. Half the time I felt like I was trapped in Joey’s mind, reliving every cigarette he lit, every thought he spiraled into, and every single breakdown in excruciating detail. It was like emotional déjà vu over and over again.

Yes, the writing was good. Yes, the heartbreak was real. But pacing?? Nonexistent. I found myself just wanting to skip ahead because I already knew what was coming, but it was taking 14 chapters to get there.

So yeah—3.5 stars from me. Necessary story, but WAY too drawn out.
