I read very random things when I’m ill. But this was, as I remembered, full of extremely enjoyable language.

This was a solid book. We read it for school, which made it more interesting for me because I could really understand the motives for each person based on their world views and other interesting factors in the story. It was really easy to empathize with the characters and it was very well written, especially the speeches for Brutus and Antony. It makes you think a lot about the nature of humans and it was just enjoyable. It was also quick and easy to get through, which I could definitely appreciate after some of our much longer English books! I definitely enjoyed it.

I liked it! Not my favorite of the Shakespeare plays I’ve consumed but it’s definitely thought provoking if you like that sort of thing. If I could suggest of one scene in the whole play it would be the first one. That cobbler has so much sass.
I never realized how short this play is. It's also very repetitive, but it works.
We get Cassius talking to Brutus multiple times. Making his sales speech about how awful Caesar will soon become.
Caesar on the other hand is played pretty sympathetic. Only guy who cracks a joke.
Caesar gets the most warnings ever put on paper. But too proud to heed them.
That gets us to the headway mark!
The other half is the war.
Not that exciting, funny enough.
Cassius & Brutus fight and make up in the same conversation. Everybody starts killing themselves.
For some reason his enemies honor Brutus for killing Caesar. 'But he was super selfless about it, guys!'

I don’t know why, but I have always felt close to this part of history. So naturally, this play was already great to me. Few years back, I actually studied Mark Anthony’s speech, as well as Brutus’s, and I can definitely say that them in relation to the whole play, were certainly of greater effect. Furthermore, I would have to add that this is one of the writings of Shakespeare that are easier to read and understand. I deeply enjoyed it and am now looking up to also watch it.
