I really loved volume one and was excited to see more from these two. They were just as sweet and adorable as they were in the first volume, but I feel like not much really happened. It felt a little slow at times and without much plot. However, I love Chiharu and Wataru so much that I will definitely continue with this series.

This series is superficially cute but it's mostly overdramatic and under-developed. The side characters were great and there's some genuinely funny little comedic moments but overall there's nothing of any real substance here.

It's basically not about movies at all, only as a flimsy vehicle for them to be friends in the first place, and there was a super weird crossdressing subplot which only served to attempt to deepen their connection but didnt really add anything in the end, and that could have been better achieved by them...actually talking about their feelings? Having a real conversation? But no.

I wouldn’t have read this second volume if I didn’t already own it, and I won’t be reading the third.

Liked this one less than the first, but still a fun read!!
