Verging on pretentious, to be honest. The art was amazing, and definitely the best feature of this volume.

The main plot here? Bruce is trapped on a nightmare, where he is marrying Selina and the other one where his father, Thomas, tells him to stop being Batman. Probably my favorite issues were 66-67, the art is so great. At the very last end we can see Thomas fighting Bane, and they’re planning to fo to Gotham which is weird as hell.

I didn't enjoy this at all.

I hated that this just dropped into this without really knowing what was happening. I was really confused as to what was happening for a lot of it.

Not great.

This is the type of deep and meaningful BS I usually can't stand, but I guess I'd expect Tom King to go down this path. Luckily there is a lot of gorgeous BatCat art, even though it's all a dream in the end.

This was the downfall for me, it just really didn't do it for me. I even struggled to finish the issues. I stopped reading altogether after finishing volume 10 (although I came back the next year). It's just got boring to me, especially those "nightmares".
