Scrooge is visited by 3 Christmas Ghosts that show him, his past, present & future (if no change is made) Christmas.

Lovely story of the meaning of Christmas, where we are a little bit as Scrooge and this remember us to be kinder.

This is the first time I have ever read A Christmas Carol after seeing it so many times on TV. I was absolutely not disappointed and it was a very good Christmassy read. It was easy to read and not tedious, like I have heard Dicken's work can be. This could quite easily become a yearly Christmas read for me.

This is a lovely Christmas story. It’s a quick read, but I just personally enjoy this better in a different medium. Lovely moral!

Updated for 2023 reread: This remains one of my favorite stories, and the original is remarkable!

Obviously, this is not a new story by any means, and I was, like most people, already well aware of it by the time I decided to pick it up in it's original novel form. That said, I very much wanted to see what it was like in the original, and so I decided that I would read it to my family over the Christmas season, in order to get us all in the spirit. I don't think I need to bother with a long review, because you've probably already heard the story and know the messages contained within and how wonderful they are, so all I'll say is this: if you have the chance to, read the original version. It's charming, surprisingly funny in parts, and well worth your time.

Merry Christmas, and, as Tiny Tim put it: God bless us, every one!

This was actually an audio version, read by Sarah Marshall of You're Wrong About!
