I didn't like it as much as the second book but I think it's better than those so far. Really excited to read more about Dresden! Micheal is an awesome character, he is exactly how I think a Paladin type character should be portrayed.

As always, Dresden files books are fun and fast paced and easy to read. However, I didn't like this one quite as much as the previous ones. Murphy was barely featured and the character Michael, while I liked him, kind of came out of nowhere and was introduced like a regular character. I don't love how the women in these books are sexualized and how much of the narrative is dedicated to describing their bodies. Susan is Harry's love interest but she isn't described in a way that is very endearing and I had trouble caring about her. The plot isn't as tight with big exciting reveals as past books. But again, enjoyed it, just not the best of this series.

Wow, things are definitely picking up in this book. Things will be getting intense!!

I'm not as impressed as I was though... I think I let the hype get to me. I'll try a few more and see how I feel.

HATING MURPHY... she is not even that much present in this book but damn I cringe every time she appears. I worked hard to finish previous volume, I ain't gonna be that patient in this one!
