I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately it had too much going against it. I feel like the Romeo and Juliet retelling was just too beat for beat, and yet, the angst wasn't there for me for the majority of the book. This book was way too long and had too much it was trying to do.

ok WOW i didn’t expect to be baffled by the layers of the plot??? I was kind of expecting a normal romance where two heirs fall in love and all that, but this went beyond my expectations.
