Her world building has never missed! What is missed.. a little romance and that's fine. 4 stars because I do feel like the book dragged on a little.

This was a decent read. I think though it felt like it ended abruptly and at points the plot felt very slow. I think it could have been all one book with whatever book two is.
Overall though good writing and setting and an interesting Romeo & Juliette retelling with really nice refs back to Shakespeare.

Honestly I found it a little boring, I had high hopes for this book, but meh
this book destroyed me in a way that i’ll never recover.

I did enjoy the story but I think more could of been done.
I wasn't going to read the next book, but it did pick up in the last 50 odd pages, but the way it finished I want to find out what happens.

I loved this book so so much omg pls pick it up. A childhood lovers to ennemies to lover / romeo and juliet retelling / during the 20’s / with a diverse cast WHAT DO YOU WANT MORE?? All the characters are so amazing (shoutout to kathleen and marshall who were some of my personal faves) and so unique in their own way. The plot was so well done and that ENDING?? I can’t wait till November 2021 i need answers now
*EDIT: uhm i hope the sequel won’t be a exact retelling of romeo and juliet bc well... it’s a tragic love story and i just want all the characters to be happy... pls
