Thoughts: Ugh this book was so good. It was the perfect amount of spy book fun, exciting romance, and creative plot! I also ended up being a big simp for both Roma and Juliette while reading. AND THE CLIFFHANGER, I can’t. Overall this book just slaps, so worth the read.

I just could not get into the story. There were some great elements present in the overall story, but I just did not connect to it.

The only reason I finished this book was because I paid for it. There was way too much political jargon to weed through to finally get to any plot. Throughout the whole book, I would get snippets of plot and then pages and pages of how gang politics work, then I’d get another snippet of plot. Roma was a weak male character and Juliette came off way too tough, and if I had a dollar for every time it was mentioned that one of them was the heir to their gang, I could get my money back on this book and have some left over to buy a better one.
The pros to this book were that it had some interesting plot twists and the climax was exciting. I liked the side characters. The writing itself was good, I just felt like it could have been cut in half.
